Who is Talulah Riley?
Early life and education
Talulah Jane Riley-Milburn was born on September 26, 1985, in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. She grew up as an only child in Hemel Hempstead. Her mother, Una Riley, founded a security systems company and a public relations firm. Her father, Doug Milburn, formerly headed the National Crime Squad and worked as a screenwriter for shows like Silent Witness and The Bill.
Talulah attended Cheltenham Ladies' College, Berkhamsted Collegiate School, and Haberdashers' Girls' School. While pursuing her acting career in London, she also studied for a degree in natural sciences through The Open University.
Acting career highlights
Talulah Riley made her stage debut in 2005 in The Philadelphia Story at the Old Vic. She also appeared in a 2006 revival of Summer and Smoke. Her television credits include episodes of Poirot in 2003, Marple in 2006, and Doctor Who in 2008. She played Angela in the first two seasons of the HBO science fiction series Westworld, from 2016 to 2018.
In film, Talulah portrayed Mary Bennet in the 2005 movie Pride & Prejudice. She appeared in St Trinian's in 2007 and its sequel, St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold, in 2009. She also had roles in The Boat That Rocked in 2009 and the critically acclaimed film Inception in 2010. More recently, she appeared in the FX miniseries Pistol in 2022.

Talulah is also an accomplished author. Her debut novel, Acts of Love, was published in August 2016 by Hodder & Stoughton. In June 2022, she released her second novel, The Quickening, also through Hodder & Stoughton. She is also listed as a contributor to the book Encounters with Jane Austen: Celebrating 250 years.
In March 2010, Talulah was featured on the cover of Esquire magazine. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts named her a 'Brit to Watch' in 2011, recognizing her emerging talent.
Personal life and relationships
Talulah Riley began a relationship with businessman Elon Musk in 2008. They married two years later at Dornoch Cathedral in Scotland. The couple divorced in March 2012.
Elon Musk and Talulah remarried in July 2013. They reconciled and lived together with Musk's five children. Musk filed for divorce a second time in December 2014 but later withdrew the action. After living separately for six months, Talulah filed for a second divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court in March 2016. Their divorce was finalized in October 2016.
