Who is Taylor Marshall?
Education and early ministry
Taylor Marshall graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. He studied at Nashotah House and Westminster Theological Seminary. Jack Iker ordained him as an Episcopal priest in 2005. This happened in Fort Worth. Taylor served as a youth minister at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. He held this role while he was a deacon.
In 2006, Taylor and his wife converted to Catholicism. Bishop Kevin Vann confirmed them in May 2006.
Academic work and teaching
Taylor earned a Master of Arts in philosophy in 2009. He received a Doctor of Philosophy in philosophy in 2011. Both degrees came from the University of Dallas. His dissertation was titled Thomas Aquinas on Natural Law and the Twofold Beatitude of Humanity. Taylor worked as a philosophy professor.
He became the chancellor of the College of Saints John Fisher & Thomas More in January 2012. He left this position in June 2013. He mentioned financial issues and theological gaps. He cited the college's public repudiation of the Second Vatican Council. Taylor also worked as the assistant director of the Catholic Information Center for the Archdiocese of Washington.
Teaching and media
In 2013, Taylor Marshall founded the New Saint Thomas Institute. This is an online education program for Catholic theology. He also created the Troops of Saint George in 2013. This is a Catholic scouting organization.
Taylor hosts the Dr. Taylor Marshall Podcast on YouTube. By 2026, the channel reached over 2 million subscribers. It has more than 190 million views. He discusses Catholic news and theology. He often criticizes modernism in the church. He frequently speaks about the actions of Pope Leo XIV.
Books and writing
Taylor wrote the book Infiltration: The Plot to Destroy the Church from Within. Bishop Athanasius Schneider wrote the foreword for this work. He wrote a historical fiction series called Sword and Serpent. Other books include The Crucified Rabbi and The Eternal City. He wrote The Catholic Perspective on Paul.
He wrote guides on Thomas Aquinas, Saint Augustine, and the Rosary. He published Antichrist and Apocalypse in 2022. His 2025 book is titled Christian Patriot. Harrison Butker wrote the foreword for that book. He manages Saint John Press and Media for most of his publishing.
Politics and controversy
Taylor supported Donald Trump and joined the Catholics for Trump advisory board. In May 2023, he started a presidential campaign called Christ the King. This bid ended by July 2023. He had no FEC filing or ballot access.
Taylor is criticized for promoting conspiracy theories. He claims Freemasons and Communists subverted the Catholic Church. In 2020, he admitted to funding Alexander Tschugguel. Tschugguel removed indigenous statues from a church in Rome. Taylor uploaded the video of this event. He supports Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò. He continued to interview Viganò after his July 2024 excommunication.
Personal life
Taylor Marshall met Joy McPherson in 1999. They married on June 9, 2001. The wedding was at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Fort Worth. They have eight children.
