Before focusing entirely on his main channel, he launched an initial project named Vectrexuk in 2006. This early channel featured simple home improvement projects and tech setups to test what audiences would watch on the platform.
He later created his primary channel under the name Techmoan in May 2009. His very first upload on that channel was a tour of a Piaggio MP3 scooter. Over time, the content shifted away from basic vehicle tours toward detailed examinations of unusual consumer electronics and historical recording formats.

Funding for the main channel comes from miscellaneous product reviews, affiliate marketing programs, and support through Patreon memberships. His work has even crossed into popular culture, receiving a mention in a comic strip featured within The Beano.
