Biography
Who is Belle Delphine?
Early life and real name
Mary-Belle Kirschner was born in Cape Town, South Africa, on October 23, 1999. She grew up in a household that practiced devout Christianity. Following a divorce between her parents, she moved to England with her mother. The pair eventually settled in Lymington, Hampshire.
During her teenage years, she attended Priestlands School in Pennington. She left the school at age 14 after experiencing online bullying. Classmates had shared screenshots of her dark humor jokes, which led to her feeling isolated. During this period, she received treatment for depression and worked several jobs, including roles as a waitress, barista, and babysitter.
Online career and fame
Belle Delphine began her digital path by posting cosplay photos on Facebook. She later established an Instagram presence in 2015 and a YouTube channel in July 2016. Her first video on the platform was a tutorial about makeup. By 2018, she was regularly using accessories like cat ears and pink wigs to create a specific aesthetic for her Instagram modeling.
Her popularity grew rapidly in late 2018 after she participated in various TikTok challenges. This surge in visibility led to her image being shared extensively on Reddit and 4chan. Her Instagram following grew from 850,000 in November 2018 to over 4 million by July 2019. She also used Patreon starting in March 2018 to provide supporters with access to various photo sets.

In 2019, Belle Delphine became the center of several internet discussions. She created a satirical Pornhub account that featured twelve troll videos. These clips used misleading thumbnails and titles but were not sexually explicit. Despite receiving many dislikes, she won a Top Celebrity Pornhub Award later that year. In the same year, she was also named the most-searched celebrity on the site.
Another major event involved the launch of her online store on July 1, 2019. She sold a product called GamerGirl Bath Water, which consisted of her bath water in a jar for $30. The initial stock sold out in only three days. While the product was met with mockery and memes, it also demonstrated her significant marketing influence. In 2024, she noted that PayPal had previously withheld $90,000 in proceeds from these sales due to terms of service violations.
