Tessa Gräfin von Walderdorff was born in New York City. Her parents are Count Franz von Walderdorff and Anna Sabrina Brühwiler. She grew up with a younger sister named Countess Mia Rose von Walderdorff. On her father side, she belongs to the House of Walderdorff, a German noble family. She spent part of her childhood at Schloss Höfling, an eighteenth century castle near Regensburg in Bavaria.
As a child, she learned French as her first language. She later became fluent in German and English. For her education, she attended the Ross School in East Hampton, New York. She then enrolled at Bard College, where she double majored in written arts and French. During her time at college, she played as a member of the tennis team and graduated in two thousand sixteen.

Tessa Gräfin von Walderdorff worked as a production assistant for Holly Li Productions during New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. She made her film debut in an acting role in the film Rosewood: The Best Version of Yourself, which was directed by her uncle Dylan Verrechia. She also secured a role in the film Spring to Winter.
Drawing on her classical piano training and time spent living in Berlin, she worked as a freelance disc jockey and began producing music. As a writer, she authored two collections of short stories and wrote articles for the fashion magazine I Love You.
