Who is Vartika Singh?
Early life and education
Vartika Singh grew up in Lucknow. She attended Canossa Convent School for her early education. She studied Clinical nutrition and dietetics to earn a degree from Isabella Thoburn College. She furthered her education at the University of Lucknow. There, she earned a master's degree in Public health.
Pageant career
Vartika Singh won the title of Femina Miss India Grand International in 2015. She later became Miss Universe India 2019 on September 26, 2019. This appointment occurred because the Miss Diva pageant was not held that year.
She was the Indian representative at the 68th Miss Universe event. This competition took place in Atlanta, Georgia on December 8, 2019. She reached the Top 20. This result ended a period where India failed to place.
Modeling and media
Vartika appeared in the January 2016 edition of GQ India. This issue featured her in an interview and a photoshoot. GQ magazine named her among the hottest women of India in 2016. They included her on the same list again in 2017.
In 2017, she also competed in the Kingfisher Model Hunt. The Kingfisher bikini calendar featured her on its March and October pages.
Philanthropy and public health
Vartika Singh founded the non-profit organization Pure Humans in 2018. She is a professional in Public health. She uses this knowledge to raise awareness about health issues in India.
Vartika Singh works with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Together, they work to educate communities about Tuberculosis. Vartika Singh is also a Smile Train India Goodwill Ambassador. Through this role, she helps children with cleft lip and palate receive treatment. She also provides aid to these children.
