Who is Adriana Sklenaříková?
Early life and education
Adriana Sklenaříková was born in Brezno, Slovakia. Her father, Miroslav Sklenařík, was a Czech engineer from Vsetín, while her mother, Zlatica Gazdiková, worked as a doctor. Because both parents were students during her birth, she spent her first six years living with her grandparents.
She attended Charles University in Prague to study medicine. During her third year of university in 1994, she entered a beauty pageant. This competition led to her being discovered by a modeling agency based in France.
Modeling and acting career
After moving to Paris, Adriana began a successful modeling career. She walked runways for designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Givenchy, and Thierry Mugler. She also appeared on covers for magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar. In 1994, she made a cameo in the film Prêt-à-Porter.
She held a Guinness record for having the longest legs among female models, measuring nearly 1.24 meters. Her commercial work included campaigns for Wonderbra, Victoria's Secret, and Škoda Auto. In 2004, she took on her first starring role in the film 3 petites filles.
Business and television projects
Adriana launched a cosmetics brand called SILICIUM+ in 2005. In 2011, she announced that her company AKD would be listed on the Euronext Paris. She also participated in the French version of Dancing with the Stars, titled Danse avec les stars, where she finished in fourth place.
Her television appearances continued with the docuseries Les Pouvoirs extraordinaires du corps humain in 2012. She also worked as a sponsor for the series Génération mannequin on NRJ 12. In 2023, she took part in the photography competition La photo parfaite on M6.
Family and personal life
In 1998, she married football player Christian Karembeu in Corsica. They separated in 2011 due to media exposure and lifestyle differences. Adriana Sklenaříková used the name Adriana Karembeu professionally during this marriage.
She married Aram Ohanian in 2014 following a three-year relationship. The couple wed in Monaco and had a daughter in August 2018. They divorced in December 2022. In 2026, she announced legal action against Ohanian regarding domestic violence and blackmail.
