Who is Andrés Velencoso?
Early life and beginnings
Andrés Velencoso Segura was born in Ledaña, a municipality in the Cuenca region of Spain. He spent his early years there before moving to Tossa de Mar in Girona when he was fifteen years old. After completing his high school education, he decided to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
He initially signed a contract with a Spanish agency called Group Model Management. His professional start was difficult as he faced significant rejection while attempting to work in Milan. Many agents at the time considered him unsuitable for their needs, which forced him to reconsider his approach to the industry.
Modeling career milestones
His career prospects improved significantly in 2001 when he met an agent named Natalie Kates at Q Model Management in New York City. Despite his initial language barrier, she helped him rebuild his portfolio. Shortly after, photographer Matt Albiani booked him for an editorial project, which led to a shoot in East Hampton.
By 2002, he successfully booked a spring advertising campaign for Banana Republic. One year later, he appeared in a Louis Vuitton campaign alongside Jennifer Lopez. He gained further recognition after signing a contract for the Chanel Allure Homme Sport fragrance and becoming the face of Loewe in 2004.
Acting roles and projects
Beyond his modeling work, Andrés Velencoso has built an acting career in both film and television. He appeared in the film Summer Camp and held a role in the Spanish television series B&b, de boca en boca, where he played the character Rubén Barahona.
In 2017, he participated in the Netflix Original drama Edha, which was produced in Argentina. That same year, he played the character Omar in the show Velvet Colección. He later joined the cast of the popular series Elite, playing Armando during the fourth season and continuing into the fifth season. In 2022, he also appeared in the production titled A Private Affair.

Regarding his personal life, he dated the singer Kylie Minogue for five years, from 2008 until 2013. Following that relationship, he was involved with Spanish actress Úrsula Corberó between 2013 and 2015.
