Early life and education
Kathryn Bridget Moynahan was born on April 28, 1971, in Binghamton, United States. Her parents are Mary Bridget and Edward Bradley Moynahan, and she grew up alongside her two brothers, Andy and Sean.
When she was about seven years old, her family relocated to Massachusetts. She attended Longmeadow High School, where she participated actively in sports as captain of the girls soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams before graduating in 1989.
Modeling career
After finishing high school, Bridget Moynahan began a career in modeling after accompanying a friend to an audition in Springfield, Massachusetts. She was signed by the agency and subsequently moved to New York City at the age of eighteen.

Bridget Moynahan has a son named John Edward Thomas Moynahan, born in August 2007. She later married businessman Andrew Frankel during a ceremony held in the Hamptons in October 2015, becoming a stepmother to his three sons.
