Early life and background
Bridgette LeAnn Wilson was born on September 25, 1973, in Gold Beach, United States. She grew up in this coastal town as the daughter of Kathy and Dale Wilson. During her school years, she played on the volleyball team for Gold Beach High School and graduated from the institution in 1991.
In 1990, she won the Miss Teen USA title at the age of sixteen in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was only the second winner of the crown from the state of Oregon. After completing her reign, she transitioned into acting and modeling work.

Bridgette Wilson began her television career by playing the character of Lisa Fenimore on the soap opera Santa Barbara from April 1992 to January 1993. She also appeared as Ginger on Saved by the Bell. Her film debut came in 1993 when she played Whitney, the daughter of Jack Slater, in Last Action Hero.
She took on several well-known film roles through the 1990s and 2000s. She played Veronica Vaughn, the teacher and girlfriend of Adam Sandler's character, in Billy Madison in 1995. That same year, she portrayed Sonya Blade in the martial arts action film Mortal Kombat and appeared in Higher Learning.

Alongside acting, Bridgette Wilson pursued a career in music as a singer and songwriter. She was featured on Tommy Shane Steiner's debut album Then Came the Night. She performed a spoken-word part on the track What We're Gonna Do About It.

Family and personal life
Bridgette Wilson married professional tennis player Pete Sampras on September 30, 2000, after dating for nine months. The couple welcomed their first son on November 21, 2002, and their second son on July 29, 2005. The family settled in Lake Sherwood, California, located west of Westlake Village.
In December 2022, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She continues to reside in California with her husband and two children, Christian and Ryan.
