Who is Emeraude Toubia?
Early life and background
Emeraude Toubia was born in Montreal, Canada, and raised in Brownsville, Texas as an only child. Her mother was born in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, and her father is of Lebanese descent. As a child, she received professional training in classical ballet, flamenco, belly dance, and lyrical dance. She attended Homer Hanna High School for her secondary education.
Starting at age fifteen, she competed in several beauty pageants. She won titles including Miss South Texas, Miss Rio Grande Valley America, and Miss Teen Brownsville.
Early television and modeling work
At age ten, Emeraude Toubia made her first television appearance on the children program El Mundo de los Niños. In 2008, she participated in the beauty pageant series Nuestra Belleza Latina and finished as the first runner-up. She later joined the second season of Model Latina in 2009 and placed fifth, followed by a semifinalist finish in Miss Texas USA 2010.
She also appeared in commercial advertisements for major brands such as Maybelline, J. C. Penney, Sony, Garnier, and AT&T.
Hosting and acting career
From 2011 to 2013, Emeraude Toubia worked as a presenter for music and entertainment shows on NBC Universo, including The Arena, 18 & Over, and mun2POP. She also co-hosted a red carpet special for the Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2013. That same year, she made her acting debut on the youth telenovela 11-11: En mi cuadra nada cuadra.
She later appeared in the telenovela Cosita linda. In 2016, she began portraying Isabelle Lightwood on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She also appeared in a music video for Prince Royce. Since 2021, she has starred as Lily Diaz on the Amazon Prime Video series With Love.
Personal life and relationships
Emeraude Toubia began a relationship with musician Prince Royce in 2011. The couple married in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, on November 30, 2018, and lived in Studio City, Los Angeles. They announced plans to divorce in March 2022. Since 2023, she has been in a relationship with actor Arnas Fedaravicius.
Outside of her acting work, she supports the Get Schooled non-profit organization and visited a high school in California to act as a celebrity principal for a day.
