Who is Eva Herzigová?
Early life and beginnings
Eva Herzigová was born in Litvínov in what was then Czechoslovakia. Her mother worked as an accountant and her father was an electrician. During her youth, she was quite active in sports. She practiced basketball, gymnastics, track, and cross-country skiing.
In 1989, she participated in a modeling contest held in Prague. A French agency called Metropolitan Models organized the event. She won the competition at sixteen years old, which eventually led her to relocate to Paris to start her professional path.
Modeling career and fashion work
After moving to France, her profile grew significantly. She became the face of a famous 1994 advertising campaign for Wonderbra. The ads featured a photograph of her wearing the lingerie with the slogan Hello Boys. This specific billboard gained big attention and was later displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Eva Herzigová expanded her career into television and film. Her screen credits include the 1995 film Les Anges gardiens, where she acted with Gérard Depardieu. She also appeared in the 1998 production My Best Friend's Wife and the 2004 movie Modigliani.
Her later acting work includes the 2017 film titled A Prominent Patient. Outside of acting, she serves as an editor-at-large for Vogue Czechoslovakia. She is also multilingual, speaking Czech, French, English, Italian, and Russian.
