Early life
Haley Joel Osment was born in Los Angeles, United States, on April 10, 1988. He grew up with his sister Emily Osment and their parents, Eugene Osment. During childhood, he actively participated in sports such as wrestling, basketball, football, and golf.
He attended Flintridge Preparatory School before pursuing higher education at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He graduated from the university in 2011.
Acting career
Haley began acting after signing up with a talent scout at a store at age four. This led to a television commercial appearance that successfully launched his professional career. He secured his first television series role in Thunder Alley and made his feature film debut as Forrest Gump's son in the movie Forrest Gump.
His major breakthrough came when he starred in the psychological thriller film The Sixth Sense. This performance earned him widespread recognition, including an Academy Award nomination and a Saturn Award. He continued achieving success with leading roles in Pay It Forward and A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
Voice acting and later roles
Beyond live-action cinema, Haley established a prominent voice acting career. He provides the voice of the protagonist Sora in the Kingdom Hearts video game series. His additional voice credits include roles in Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, DreamWorks Dragons: The Nine Realms, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie.
