Early life and real name
Heida Reed was born Heiða Rún Sigurðardóttir in Reykjavík, Iceland. She grew up in the Breiðholt neighborhood of the city and attended school at Ölduselsskóli. She grew up alongside two siblings as the middle child of her parents.
During her youth, her father worked as a music teacher while her mother was employed as a dental hygienist.
Modeling and acting training
At the age of eighteen, an Icelandic modeling agency recruited Heida. This opportunity led her to move to Mumbai where she worked as a model in India for a period of two years.
After her time in modeling, she settled in London around the age of nineteen or twenty. She enrolled at Drama Centre London to study acting and successfully completed her studies there by graduating in 2010.
