Who is Isabella Menin?
Early life and background
Isabella Menin was born on June 2, 1996, in Marília, Brazil. She grew up in a family with a strong history in beauty pageants and business. Her mother, Adriana Novaes, won the title of Miss Marília and competed in multiple international contests. Her great-grandfather Lazaro Ramos Novaes and grandfather Alfredo Novaes were prominent figures in the early industrialization of Marília.
Isabella comes from a family of Brazilian and Italian descent. Following her family tradition of pageantry, she entered her first beauty competition at the age of three with encouragement from her mother. She won several titles during her youth, including Miss Goiás, Miss Student of Marilia, Miss Teen Marilia, Miss Teen São Paulo, and the international title Miss Teen International in 2013.
Education and career
Isabella pursued higher education in the United Kingdom. During 2015 and 2016, she studied business and managerial economics at David Game College. She then earned a bachelor degree in economics with first-class honors from the University of Westminster in early 2019. Following this, she completed a master degree in finance at University College London in 2020.
Before winning her major national crown, Isabella worked as an international model and served as a paraplanner for Thomson Tyndall, a financial planning and investment management firm in the United Kingdom. She also established a charitable organization named Beyond Project, which supports associations for people with disabilities in Brazil.
Pageantry success
Isabella represented Alto Cafezal at the Miss Grand Brazil 2022 competition, where she competed against 30 other candidates and won the national title. She advanced to the international stage to represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022. The competition took place on October 25, 2022, at the Sentul International Convention Center in West Java, Indonesia.
At the event, she was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên of Vietnam. Isabella became the first Brazilian woman to win the Miss Grand International title. She also marked the first victory for a Brazilian competitor in a major international beauty pageant since Larissa Ramos won Miss Earth in 2009.
