Who is Lika Roman?
Early life in Ukraine
Lika Roman was born in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, on May 12, 1985. Her father Viktor worked as a musician, while her mother Svitlana pursued a career as a fashion designer. During her school years in her home city, Lika gained work experience as a hairdresser.
Outside of her schooling and early work, Lika spent her free time engaged in various hobbies. She enjoyed skiing, dancing, and playing the piano. Her education continued at a branch of Kyiv Slavonic University, where she focused her studies on Political Science and Foreign Relations.
Pageant career and travels
Lika entered the public spotlight by winning the title of Miss Ukraine 2007. Following this victory, she represented her home country at the Miss World 2007 competition, which took place in Sanya, China.
During the winter of 2007, Lika traveled to the United States for a tour. Throughout the trip, she visited various media outlets, including television channels, radio stations, newspapers, and magazines. She also met with students and public organization representatives while appearing on multiple talk shows.
Modeling views and beliefs
Lika gained attention for her strong moral views regarding the modeling industry. Even prior to her victory at Miss Ukraine 2007, she turned down propositions from several modeling agencies due to conflicts with her personal beliefs. After winning the national contest, she continued to refuse offers from major agencies, stating that the business did not interest her.
As an Evangelical Christian, Lika openly discussed her personal convictions. She stated that she was a virgin and considered sex before marriage to be wrong and contrary to her personal values.

Before winning her national title, Lika participated in various charity projects in her hometown of Uzhhorod. After achieving national recognition, she expanded her philanthropic efforts to both nationwide and international levels.
Her primary areas of focus for charity work included preventing AIDS, promoting purity before marriage, supporting a healthy lifestyle, and protecting ecology. She actively took part in conferences, seminars, discussions, and interviews covering these subjects. Currently, Lika resides in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, where she enjoys the active rhythm of life in the city center.
