Who is Michaela Conlin?
Early life and education
Michaela Conlin was born on June 9, 1978, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her mother worked as an accountant, while her father made a living as a contractor. She grew up in South Whitehall Township alongside her family. At the age of seven, she took part in her very first theatrical production at Muhlenberg College.
During her youth, she performed in numerous regional and community stage plays throughout Pennsylvania. She attended Parkland High School and successfully completed her studies there in 1996. Following her high school graduation, she relocated to New York City to pursue further artistic training. She enrolled at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts to study her craft.
Television career
After finishing her university studies, Michaela Conlin joined the cast of a cable documentary program titled The It Factor. This project followed the daily lives of aspiring performers living and working in New York City. Soon afterward, she moved across the country to Los Angeles to seek new acting opportunities. In Los Angeles, she secured her first starring television part in an ABC medical drama series named MDs.
Following that medical project, she took on a leading part in another ABC drama production called The D.A. Her most prominent television breakthrough came when she was cast as Angela Montenegro in the Fox crime procedural comedy-drama Bones. She appeared in this popular program from 2005 through 2017 alongside main cast members Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. For her performance in this series, she received a nomination for an Asian Excellence Award in 2008.
Film projects
Alongside her extensive television work, Michaela Conlin also appeared in feature films on the big screen. In 2011, she portrayed the character Detective Heidi Sobel in the legal drama film The Lincoln Lawyer. Ten years later, in 2021, she took on the role of Maria Li in the comedy film Bad Trip.
