Early life and career beginnings
Monika Bagárová was born in Brno, Czechia. She entered the music scene in 2009 by competing in the first season of Česko Slovenská SuperStar. She finished the competition in fifth place, making her the most successful Czech female contestant in that series.
Following her television appearance, she collaborated with Rob Opatovský on the song Prší in 2010. In 2011, she released her first studio album titled Shining. This debut included the track I want, which was a duet with Benny Cristo. For her work on this album, she received the Best Newcomer award at the 2011 Český slavík awards.
Music and film career
Monika expanded her career into acting in 2012 when she appeared in the romantic film Definice lásky. Her music continued with the 2013 single Let Me Love U. The next year, she recorded Skús zabudnúť with Igor Kmet in Slovakia.
In 2017, she released her second studio album called Flashback. She also participated in the ninth season of the StarDance competition in 2018, where she placed tenth. By 2020, she returned to the Česko Slovenská SuperStar franchise as a juror for its sixth season. Her discography also includes the 2022 album Silnější.
Family and personal life
Monika Bagárová had a relationship with Benny Cristo between 2009 and 2012. Later, she dated Slovak drummer Dávid Hodek until the summer of 2018. In December 2018, she began a relationship with Makhmud Muradov. They had a daughter named Rumia on 27 May 2020.
She and Makhmud Muradov split in December 2021, though they reconciled in February 2022. They eventually separated again in July 2022. In December 2022, she started a new relationship with an Albanian businessman named Leonard Lekaj.
