Who is Sonali Raut?
Early life and education
Sonali Raut was born in Delhi, India. Her father served as a deputy commissioner of police. She pursued her higher education at Mithibai College, located in Mumbai. Following her graduation, she began establishing a career in the modeling industry.
Modeling and early career
In 2010, she secured a modeling assignment for the Kingfisher Calendar, an annual publication featuring models in swimwear. She was nineteen years old at the time of this feature. Also, she served as the face of MAC Cosmetics within India. In 2011, she participated in a well-known photoshoot for Maxim magazine alongside actor Ranveer Singh. Her modeling work expanded in 2017 when she was selected for the cover of the FFACE Fashion Calendar.
Acting roles and filmography
Sonali Raut made her debut in Bollywood with the romantic-thriller film The Xpose in 2014. She starred as a movie star character opposite actors Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh. Film critic Taran Adarsh noted her performance in the project. Although she was originally slated to appear in the film 99% Useless Fellows, she withdrew from that project to participate in television reality programming.
She appeared in the 2016 film Great Grand Masti playing the character Shiney. The production featured her in the popular song Lipstick Laga Ke, which ranked among the top 20 songs of that year. She was previously offered a lead role in the film Hate Story 3, but she declined the part to pursue projects that she felt were better suited to her personal career goals.

Sonali Raut has participated in multiple reality television series. She was a contestant on the show Bigg Boss 8. During the season, she faced an initial eviction but was brought back to the show. She was eventually evicted from the competition after 105 days, alongside fellow contestant Puneet Issar. She also appeared as a contestant on the program Bigg Boss Marathi 6.
