Early life and career
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on September 10, 1973, he is the son of Greek immigrants. Growing up, he admired law enforcement officers and wanted to join their ranks. After graduating high school in 1992, he spent several years working various jobs while staying active with his friends and working on his cars. He notes that he did not use drugs or alcohol during this period.
Survivor competition history
Tony Vlachos gained fame as a reality television contestant on the series Survivor. He first appeared on the 28th season, titled Survivor: Cagayan, where he was placed on the Aparri tribe. During this game, he formed a lasting alliance with fellow officer Sarah Lacina, which they called Cops R' Us. He lied about his profession to her, claiming to be a construction worker. He used hidden immunity idols to handle the game and eventually defeated Woo Hwang in the final vote to win the season.

They welcomed their daughter, Anastasia Marie, in February 2013, shortly before he left to film his first season of Survivor. Two months after he returned from filming, they learned they were expecting a second child. Their son, Constantine Anthony, was born in June 2014. As of 2019, he lived in Allendale, New Jersey.

In 2025, he participated in the season titled Survivor: Australia v The World. He competed alongside other international reality stars, but he struggled to fit into the social dynamics of the tribe. He became paranoid after the women of the tribe discovered a mystery box key and was voted out on day seven.
