Who is Viki Gabor?
Early life and background
Wiktoria Genowefa Gabor was born on July 10, 2007, in Hamburg, Poland. Her family has Polish Romani heritage. Shortly after her birth, the family returned to Poland for a period before moving to the United Kingdom. When she was seven years old, they settled in Nowa Huta.
She grew up with an elder sister named Melisa. Melisa works as a professional composer and songwriter. The two sisters have collaborated on music projects together, including the song Still Standing, which they co-wrote.
Rise to fame and television career
In late 2018, Viki Gabor participated in the auditions for the second season of The Voice Kids Poland. She joined the team coached by Tomson and Baron. Throughout the competition, she advanced steadily through the rounds, eventually reaching the show's finals. During this time, she released her debut single titled Time.
Following her television success, she performed at the Young Choice Awards during the Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2019. She then joined the rebooted program Szansa na sukces, which served as the selection process for the Polish representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After reaching the finals, she won the competition with her song Superhero.
Junior Eurovision and musical growth
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 took place in Gliwice on November 24. Viki Gabor performed eleventh in the lineup. She placed second with the professional juries but scored the highest marks from the online fan vote, securing her victory. This win made her the second Polish entrant to win the contest and marked the first time a host nation won the event. Her performance earned 278 points, which was the highest score in the history of the competition at that time.
After her Eurovision win, she released several singles, including Ramię w ramię with Kayah and Getaway in April 2020. She also collaborated on a joint album featuring fellow singers like Roksana Węgiel and Marcin Maciejczak. Her debut album, Getaway (Into My Imagination), was released in September 2020. She later signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment Poland in August 2021, leading to the release of her single Moonlight.
Television work and personal life
In the spring of 2022, she joined the sixteenth edition of the Polsat television program Your Face Sounds Familiar. She competed through nine episodes and reached the finals, where she ultimately placed fourth. Later that year, she performed at the Polsat SuperHit Festival and the European Stadium of Culture in Rzeszów alongside the Armenian singer Maléna.
She has continued to work with the Eurovision brand, serving as the spokesperson for the Polish jury during the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. She also participated as a jury member for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. In December 2025, she took part in a traditional Roma wedding ceremony with Giovani Trojanek. The couple considers this an engagement, as the ceremony was not legally binding under Polish civil law.
