Who is Erina Gudono?
Early life and education
Erina Gudono was born in Philadelphia, Indonesia, on December 11, 1996. Her parents are Mohammad Gudono and Sofiatul Gudono, and she grew up alongside her siblings Allen Adam Gudono, Nadya Gudono, and Shania Gudono.
For her education, Erina attended SMA 3 Yogyakarta before continuing her studies at Gadjah Mada University, where she majored in economics. She later pursued further education at Columbia University and also received a scholarship to study social policy at the University of Pennsylvania.
Career highlights
Erina began her professional path working as an Assistant Manager Apprenticeship Project at the Payment System Policy Department at Bank Indonesia. She subsequently took on a role as a Finance Analyst at JP Morgan and later worked as an Associate Brand Strategist at Tokopedia.
Beyond her corporate work, Erina participated in academic and business competitions. She was a delegate at the Harvard World Model United Nations, won a business project competition in Tokyo, and secured first place in both the National Business Plan Competition and the AIESEC Social Initiative Competition.
Pageant achievements
In the beauty pageant sector, Erina achieved significant recognition when she won the Puteri Indonesia Special Region of Yogyakarta competition for 2021-2022. This event took place at the Sheraton Mustika Hotel Yogyakarta Resort & Spa on December 14, 2021, where she competed against Shania Binti Mahir Hamdun.
Following that regional victory, Erina advanced to the national level to represent Yogyakarta at Puteri Indonesia 2022. Held at the Jakarta Convention Center, she finished in the top eleven out of forty-five participants representing different provinces across Indonesia.
Family and personal life
Erina is married to Kaesang Pangarep, the youngest son of the seventh Indonesian president, Joko Widodo. The couple held their wedding ceremony and reception on December 10, 2022, at Pendopo Agung Ambarrukmo in Yogyakarta. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Bebingah Sang Tansahayu, on October 15, 2024.
In addition to her family commitments, Erina has been involved in volunteer work and social programs. She has worked with the Yogyakarta Marginal School, conducted literacy classes, and participated in initiatives supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises during the pandemic.
