Early life and career beginnings
Born in Kadıköy on August 25, 1972, she attended Erenköy Girls High School. She later completed her studies at the Kadıköy Business High School. At sixteen, she took second place in a contest held by Hürriyet. This recognition led to a career in modeling.
Her cinematic debut occurred in 1988 with the film Biz Ayrılamayız. She also appeared in the film Deniz Yıldızı alongside Kenan Kalav. Later, she acted in Av and Kanun Savaşçıları. In 1994, she worked with İbrahim Tatlıses at the Maksim Casino and appeared in his music video for Haydi Söyle. She eventually joined the cast of his television series Fırat.
Music and acting success
Her debut album, Merhaba, arrived in 1997. She followed this with the studio album Kör Aşık in 1999. During this time, she hosted the program Gümbür Gümbür Gülbence and starred in the series Marziye. In 2001, she gained significant recognition for playing Melek in the comedy series Dadı. This performance earned her the Best Actress award at the Golden Butterfly Awards.

By 2004, she released the album Uçacaksın, which reached diamond certification from Mü-Yap after selling 600,000 copies. She also released a live album captured during a concert in Istanbul.
Later projects and collaborations
In 2006, she released a self-titled studio album that included collaborations with artists like Sezen Aksu and Yıldız Tilbe. Around this time, she joined the cast of the series Gönül. Her 2009 album, Uzun Yol Şarkıları, featured the song Giden Günlerim Oldu, a collaboration with Oğuzhan Koç that topped the Türkçe Top 20 chart. She continued her television work, hosting Gülben Ergen'le Sürpriz on atv.
In 2011, she released the single Şıkır Şıkır, featuring Mustafa Sandal. Her album Hayat Bi' Gün followed later that year. In 2013, she released the EP titled Sen. She returned to television in 2013 on Show TV with the program Gülben. In 2015, she participated as a judge on the singing competition Rising Star Türkiye alongside Mustafa Sandal and Demet Akalın. That same year, she released the single Aşkla Aynı Değil, which became her most-viewed music video on YouTube.
Family and personal life
Gülben Ergen married Mustafa Erdoğan in September 2004. The couple welcomed their first child, Atlas, in January 2007. They later had twins, Ares and Güney, in June 2009. This marriage concluded with a divorce in April 2012. She later married anchorman Erhan Çelik in September 2014 in a ceremony held in the village of Şirince.
