Joshua Paul Dallas was born on December 18, 1978, in Louisville, United States. He grew up in the region and attended New Albany High School as well as Floyd Central High School during his youth.
After completing high school education, Josh Dallas moved on to further his training in the dramatic arts. He attended the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts to hone his skills as a performer before beginning his professional career on the stage.
Stage and early career
Following his graduation from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Josh joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in England. He gained valuable classical acting experience through this prestigious placement.
In addition to his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Josh performed with several other well-known British institutions. His stage credits include productions with the Royal National Theatre, the English National Opera, the New Shakespeare Company, and the Young Vic.
