Early life and modeling career
Natasha Tonya Henstridge was born on August 15, 1974, in Springdale, Canada. Her mother is Helen Henstridge, a homemaker, and her father is Brian Henstridge, a construction manager. She grew up in Fort McMurray, Alberta, alongside her younger brother, Shane. One of her earliest acting experiences was playing Foxy Fox in a Missoula Children's Theater production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
At age 14, Natasha Henstridge entered the Look of the Year contest held by the Casablanca Modeling Agency and was named the first runner-up. The following year, she moved to Paris to pursue modeling professionally. She appeared on the cover of the French edition of Cosmopolitan at age 15. Natasha Henstridge married American actor Damian Chapa in 1995, though they divorced in 1996. She later dated actor Liam Waite from 1996 to 2004, and the couple has two sons together. In 2011, she married Scottish singer Darius Campbell Danesh. The pair filed for divorce in 2013, and the process was finalized in February 2018.
In November 2017, she joined other actresses in accusing director Brett Ratner of sexual assault and harassment, claiming he forced her to perform oral sex in the early 1990s. Also, she accused producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment during the same period. In 2009, she also spoke publicly about her past usage of diet pills and extreme dieting, noting that these habits damaged her metabolism.
