Early life and background
Victoria Maurette was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 30, 1982. She is of French descent. During her childhood, her family moved frequently to different countries. She lived in the United States, Ecuador, and Mexico before returning to her home country in 1994.
Upon settling back in Argentina, she attended the Asociaciones Escuelas Lincoln. While a student there, she participated in the school drama club and sang in the choir. These early experiences helped her begin her career as a performing artist.
Television and acting roles
Her professional career started in 2001 when she signed a contract for the musical production Disney Magical Moments. Shortly after this, she successfully auditioned for a television role. In 2002, she appeared as Victoria Vico Paz in the popular teenage soap opera Rebelde Way, which was created by Cris Morena.
During the show, she worked alongside Camila Bordonaba, Felipe Colombo, Luisana Lopilato, and Benjamín Rojas. These co-stars formed the pop rock band Erreway. Victoria provided backup vocals for the group and danced during their live concert tours, including Erreway en Grand Rex and Nuestro Tiempo. She also performed a solo song titled No soy asi during the tour.

Victoria Maurette has balanced her acting work with a career in music. Before finishing school, she sang in various night clubs and bars. In 2005, she recorded her first solo album titled Paso a paso, though it was never officially released. Several songs from this project, including Si solo supieras and Buenas noches, were later featured on her debut solo album.
She released her first studio album, Victoria, in 2009. This record contained ten indie pop and pop rock tracks. Her musical style on this album drew inspiration from artists such as Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, and Sheryl Crow. She handled the release of this album independently.

Victoria Maurette speaks both Spanish and English fluently. Between 2002 and 2004, she was in a relationship with her Rebelde Way co-star Piru Sáez. She later married Esteban Young on November 11, 2010. Several of her former acting colleagues attended the ceremony, including Felipe Colombo, Benjamín Rojas, and Micaela Vázquez.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Emma Young, on August 15, 2012. Victoria and Esteban Young eventually divorced in 2018.
